Family Security: Storms & Disasters

Major storms, local micro-bursts, fires and disasters of all types can impact any of us at any time. Are you prepared for a worst case scenario? How, where and when will your family members contact each other when there is no phone, no cell, no transportation? We have little control over the form taken by the next natural disaster, but we can and do have the ability to prepare ourselves and our families to survive.

This two-day emergency preparedness program focuses on specific knowledge and skills vital to every family member in the event of a major emergency.

Topics include:

  • Fundamentals of disaster preparation
  • Five simple steps to family security
  • Risk analysis and reduction
  • Disaster kits for auto, boat and home
  • Living without power and phone
  • When all the roads are closed
