Self Defense on Horseback

Riding in the backcountry or along a pleasant recreational trail is one of joys of horse ownership. It is also one of the venues of greatest danger for horse and rider.

Much as we would all like to believe otherwise, assaults are not restricted to urban centers. Alone or even in small groups, any woman or man may become the target of those who would do us harm. Learn what to do before the unthinkable happens, and you need not give up the trails nor fear a ride through the hills of our beautiful state.

This timely clinic will train you to:

  • Identify and avoid attackers
  • Protect your horse and yourself
  • Ride with alertness and confidence
  • Reduce your profile as an assault victim
  • Prepare both yourself and your horse to fight back
  • Turn yourself and your horse into defensive weapons
